Boys Player of the Week (11/30-12/6) is Nate McComb, Lake Braddock

Lake Braddock is a dangerous team in the Patriot District this year, and the Bruins are off to a 3-0 start. One big reason for that is senior power forward Nate McComb.

McComb averaged 25.5 points per game and 15.5 rebounds per game last week in wins over Centreville and Annandale. The 6’5″ or 6’6″ McComb can get it done in the low post and overwhelm opponents on the block, but we really like other facets of his game as well. He has great hands to convert quick lay-ups and he’s a very good passer when doubled. He gets up and down the floor pretty well to boot, and McComb is very cerebral.

Plus, against Annandale he blocked five shots, helping to hold the Atoms to 41 points.

Lake Braddock is far from being just McComb, but he’s a big reason the Bruins could very well be contenders.

Congrats to Nate and the Bruins!
