Osbourn Park had won a total of six games combined the prior three years. This year under new coach James West IV the Jackets have already won nine. Clearly 2025-2026 has represented a step forward, although a lot of Osbourn Park’s roster remains very young.
One of those young players, freshman Jalen Farrell, had a memorable week as he helped lead Osbourn Park to three victories last week.
Farrell averaged over 23 points per game, over five steals per game, and four assists per game in wins over Brentsville, Unity Reed, and rival Osbourn. Not only that, he hit the game-winner versus Unity Reed, a turn-around three-point shot at the buzzer.
Farrell has distinguished himself as one of not only Northern Virginia’s best freshmen, but the state’s. He is a combo guard who can pour in the points, but does a lot of other things well in addition. He has a bright future, as does Osbourn Park.
Congrats to Jalen, Coach West, and the Jackets!
