Our Novahoops.com Girls Player of the Week award for the week for February 1st to February 7th, 2026 goes to Sabrina Anderson of Potomac School.
If you’re not familiar with the junior guard, she heats up this time of year. Need proof? Well, she won this recognition also last year in early February, and let’s see, the year before that in 2024 as a freshman–again in early February.
In 2025 she got this award partially for dropping 27 points on a good Georgetown Visitation (DC) team. Well, last week she dropped 38 points on poor Visitation in a Panthers win. Then, she dropped 38 points again two days later as her team got another victory.
Uh, we’re seeing patterns here. Anderson not only scores in volume, she does it pretty efficiently as well. She’s an excellent shooter, distributor, and game manager who is going to make some college coach very happy.
Congrats to Sabrina, like we say every February, and the Panthers!
