The Girls Player of the Week for January 30th to February 5th is Ana Bournigal of Yorktown.
The senior forward led Yorktown to four impressive victories last week as the Patriots went 4-0 and took the lead in the Liberty District. One of the most consistent performers in Northern Virginia, Bournigal averaged 18.5 points per game, and 10 rebounds per game in the victories.
In those four games, all against Liberty contenders, Bournigal also anchored a defense that held McLean (twice), Langley, and Herndon to an average of under 40 points per game.
