Our Girls Player of the Week for January 22nd to January 28th is Amirah Anderson of Bishop Ireton.
It’s tough for sophomore to garner Player of the Week honors, but what a week Anderson had. To kick it off, she scored 33 in a double OT win over O’Connell. Then, despite her squad not being at full strength, she had a nice game in a fairly close loss to powerful St. John’s. She was also named a tournament standout as Ireton played at The Mecca in New York City this weekend.
Finally, somewhere along the way last week the fearless and athletic guard-forward picked up her first Division I offer, from Holy Cross!
