Our Girls Player of the Week for the week of January 26th through February 1st, 2025 is Georgia Simonsen of Robinson.
The Rams continue to roll, having now won 14 straight since a loss on Friday the 13th back in December. While the Rams’ success this year is partially due to the development of the team’s young players, it certainly wouldn’t be possible without the dominance of Georgia Simonsen.
Last week the Radford commit scored almost 50% of her team’s points in wins against Lake Braddock and Alexandria City. Not only did Simonsen average 26.5 ppg, she also dished 10 assists in the win against the Titans on Friday, on Senior Night. Couple that with her usual dominance on the boards and blocking shots, and there’s no doubt Simonsen had a very good week, even for her.
