Our first Girls Player of the Week for 2024 is Keyarah Rainey of Osbourn Park.
The sophomore guard had quite the stat line in a win over rival Gainesville. Rainey tallied 30 points in the 52-46 victory. That was huge, but just as “Key,” as she is called, were her efforts on defense and the boards. She had nine rebounds against Gainesville’s tall front line, and sparked her team’s pressure defense with numerous steals.
Rainey is strong on both offense and defense, and her efforts last week have OP on top in the Cedar Run.
