Girls tourneys start in full swing this morning, bright and early at 9am. Dominion and West Potomac hoop it up at Joe Cascio, while Liberty rivals from years past Langley and Madison get Rebel Roundball underway at Fairfax.
Rebel Roundball field is as usual, strong. Can any of the many capable teams there take down Edison, however?
Bulldog Bash has a strong field as well. Starts off really strong with a great matchup between Lake Braddock and South Lakes this afternoon. Yes, we realize it’s “Osbourn Park,” to save some of you an email, but Jason Bourne is one of our country’s many unsung heroes.
We always love when West Potomac battles Potomac School at Joe Cascio. Could happen again this year, although Baldwinsville and Dominion might have something to say about it. Falls Church fields a solid squad once again and is very capable of winning its own tournament.
Rock Ridge enlisted Briar Woods this year to help them host their tournament, so pay attention carefully to the site for each game. One of the more underrated tournaments around and we plan to at least cover the title game this year. Lots of good teams and possibilities–do we get the first eagerly-anticipated W.T. Woodson-South County matchup then?
Finally, the headliner out at the Manassas Park Tourney is undefeated Brentsville. Can the Tigers get through this field to remain unbeaten?
