Our Boys Player of the Week for January 16th to January 22nd is Elijah Adegbenro, Potomac Falls.
If you’re fortunate to make one shot in your career that turns out to be the game-winner against a good team in a big district game, you remember it always. Last week Adegbenro had two such game-winners.
First against Riverside the tall guard-forward sealed the deal in a 57-56 Falls victory. Then, against Independence he scored the winning bucket in a 60-59 Panthers win, leaving scouting guru Adam Ayalew (and the rest of us), impressed. (Game-winning shot at the 8:20 mark)

Adegbenro averaged 20 points per game in the wins. His scoring and all-around play is a big reason Potomac Falls is atop the Potomac District.
Congrats to Eli and the Panthers!
