Our Girls Player of the Week for December 27th-January 2nd is Alyssa Andrews of Colgan. Andrews, a senior forward, led the Sharks to two double-digit wins over two ranked squads last week, averaging a robust 28.5 ppg and 12.0 rpg.
Andrews had committed to play basketball at Virginia Tech, but the 2019-2020 Virginia 6A Player of the Year recently re-opened her recruitment. A mainstay on novahoops.com all-star teams since she was a freshman, she now looks to lead Colgan to a state title.
