A big crowd was on hand for Flint Hill's "Winterfest," which featured a girls-guys doubleheader.

Flint Hill girls down Westfield, 51-31

Senior guard Cami Lamont scored 17 first half points to stake her team to a 28-9 lead over short-handed Westfield, and the Huskies went on to defeat the Bulldogs 51-31.

Lamont didn’t score in the second half but didn’t seem to be trying to. She instead dished out six second-half assists in a (successful) attempt to get her teammates involved. Junior forward Madison Jordan scored eight points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out four assists in a nice all-around game. Forward Claire Miller also contributed and efficient 13 points for Flint Hill (12-5), which has won 10 of its last 11.

Westfield was missing two of its leading scorers in seniors Nicole McNamara and Wanna Wardak, who were resting due to minor injury. In addition, the Bulldogs (11-6) decided to hold out sophomore forward Kirah Johnson in the second half after she got banged up a little early. Senior forward Hannah Aguilar had a nice game off the bench for Westfield, contributing 10 points in the loss.
